Ding on Piano: Weirder, Louder and Unhinged

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute piano works for its 15 Minutes of Fame

15 one-minute piano pieces will be selected to be played continuously for a debut performance in New York City on March 27th, 2011, by pianist Shiau-uen Ding in the Composer's Voice concert series.

Liszt Bicentennial Bash, the one-minute piano works are to be inspired by every possible aspect of Franz Liszt, including, but not limited to, his personality, his music, and his philosophy. The one-minute piano works are to be written specifically for this project for pianist Shiau-uen Ding. No intervals for either hand should exceed an octave, with exceptions of a minor ninth with one note on a black key and a ninth with two white keys played by a thumb (e.g. F-G-D-G on the RH).

Works should be submitted as a PDF file with a picture of the composer, 50-word biography, and 50-word program note about the piece.
